Pakistan summoned the Indian chargé d‍‍`Affaires on Wednesday to formally lodge a strong protest following a series of Indian airstrikes that struck multiple locations across Punjab and Pakistan-administered Kashmir (PoK).

According to the Pakistani military, the strikes—which occurred just after midnight—left at least 26 people dead and 46 others injured.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) said the Indian diplomat was summoned to receive Pakistan’s protest against what it described as “unprovoked Indian aggression.”

The strikes reportedly resulted in civilian casualties, including women and children.

The Foreign Office emphasized that the attacks represented a grave breach of Pakistan’s sovereignty and violated key international norms.

“India’s blatant act of aggression constitutes a clear violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty and stands in direct contradiction to the UN Charter, international law, and well-established principles governing inter-state conduct,” the statement added.
